Just the beginning steps

Here we are, two years later since my husband and I first spoke of our call to adopt to one another. We know first hand of God's love for us and want to reflect that in every we can in our lives, including as we grow our family.
Just ten months ago we took the first steps and attended some informational meetings, only to immediately see some road blocks of using a Christian agency because we are a second-marriage couple.
We didn't feel like God wants us to wait three more years before giving one of His children a forever family. So, we waited, we prayed, and we looked for other avenues.
It was two months ago that we went to Ethiopia. We arrived to encourage Christian families there to be the brave first few in their country to foster the orphans in their country, to decrease the large number of 1.4 million orphans and 5+ million of vulnerable children, with action and love. We left with the fervent prayer for our family to take the same immediate steps that we've been praying for in our own lives back home.
And so now we dive into the paperwork, the document collecting, the sharing our story with friends, family, ministries, and more focused prayers on the child(ren) we believe God already has prepared for us to love unconditionally as He has done for us.
This is our journey and I hope you will join us, leave a word of encouragement or any questions, and pray along with us.
